Entrances and Exits
142 different staircases. Wide, Narrow, some lead to different places on a Friday, and some have a vanishing step.
Doors which need tickled to open, doors you have to ask politely, doors that are just walls pretending.
7 secret passageways out of the school. Four are known by Filch. Of the other three, one is beneath the whomping willow (leads to the shrieking shack), one is behind the mirror on the fourth floor and has caved in, and the third is in the hump of the one-eyed witch statue, and leads to Honeydukes' cellar.

Exams and Qualifications
The students at Hogwarts sit exams at the end of every year, including practical tests. At the end of their fifth year they sit O.W.Ls (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) and in their seventh and final year they sit N.E.W.T.s (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests)
Practical tests include concocting a potion for Snape, an obstacle course of magical creatures, and making a pineapple tap-dance for Professor Flitwick
